Not established
- Whether any South African bank or the Reserve Bank has signed up as a PAPSS participant, and what stands in the way. No statement by the Reserve Bank or a South African bank was read.
- What "inbound only" allows in practice (for example, whether a payer in Zambia can reach a South African bank but not the reverse). The document does not explain it.
- How many payments PAPSS carries. The coverage document gives no volumes.
- The country count of 14 is our count from a map and lists whose text extraction was imperfect; some countries were tagged "LIVE SOON" in a way that could not be matched to names.
Blockers
- South African banks are reachable on the continental system PAPSS only for inbound payments · evidence of the constraint
